Thank you for taking the time to learn more about UP Academy. Each day at our school is an exciting new opportunity to enrich the minds or our students, and we hope your child will join us.
UP Academy welcomes students regardless of race, gender, national and ethnic origin, and is non discriminatory in all our policies. We accept children between the ages of 4 and 14 years old.
We are accepting applications for the 2023-2024 school year!
We are opening an additional TK/K classroom in fall of 2023. This will provide an excellent experience for our youngest learners to experience an inquiry, play and project based introduction to school. I encourage you to apply as there will be many more openings available.
Middle school launches in 2023! We have spaces available for our founding 5/6/7 grade middle school class!
Please contact us regarding availability for your child, and to schedule your personal tour of our school. We will be happy to answer your questions and provide additional information about our educational programs.
Admissions Process
We know it’s not easy to select the right school for your child. Our admission process makes it easier!
1. Visit us at a scheduled tour of our school. During the tour observe one of our classrooms to see how our instructors interact with our students. You’ll notice how well the children interact and self-direct their activities, sharing with others and learning at their own pace.
2. Teacher Recommendation: Request a teacher recommendation from your current educator – this can be done on Ravenna when you apply. We will give you any supplemental paperwork to complete and submit to us.
3. Submit your application. Once you decide to enroll your child, you’ll complete an application.
4. Interview/Assessment: You and your child may attend an interview and/or assessment. Our group of professionals and educators will sit down with your family and talk through your goals for your child to assess an overall fit.
5. Financial Aid Application: Apply online via a secure portal. Apply now. Use school code 200031
6. Shadow Day: Your child will attend a shadow day to ensure a good fit. (dependent on COVID guidelines)
